Dr. Jeffrey Ditesheim, MD

Jeffrey A. Ditesheim, MD, is a highly experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic procedures for the face and body. One of Dr. Ditesheim’s signature procedures is mommy makeover, which helps to restore a woman’s figure after the physical demands of pregnancy and childbirth. Mommy makeover tones, tightens and reshapes the body by lifting and shaping sagging breasts and flattening the abdomen. As a result, mommy makeover can help women feel more comfortable and confident after childbearing.

Dr. Ditesheim also performs short-scar breast reduction and breast lift procedures. The short-scar surgical technique is characterized by the lollipop-shaped incision that blends around the areola and extends partially down the breast. This incision placement helps maintain the aesthetic appearance of the breast and produces less scaring than traditional methods.

Dr. Ditesheim graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He is a graduate of the New York University School of Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. After completing his general surgery training and a two-year specialty research fellowship at the Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dr. Ditesheim completed his plastic surgery training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Ditesheim is the recipient of the Robert H. Ivy Society Award and the winner of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation Scholarship Competition. He is also a distinguished member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the North Carolina Medical Society.
