Mark J. Mannis, MD, received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts, and his medical degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Mannis is the Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology and a renowned expert in cornea and corneal surgery. He has published more than 100 scientific papers and books related to his research on corneal surgery and disease.
All UC Davis LASIK surgeons are active members of the major ophthalmology organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
