Michael H. Goldstein, MD, is Co-Director of Cornea, External Disease and Cataract Service and is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University. He received his undergraduate degree from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Goldstein performed fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Institute. He has lectured often about his advances in LASIK surgery to an international audience. Dr. Goldstein has published numerous scientific articles on the cornea and refractive surgery and is one of the few refractive surgeons who also receives grant funding for research into corneal healing from the National Institutes of Health and National Eye Institute. He is a member of the major ophthalmology organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Before joining the New England Eye Center, Dr. Goldstein was the Director of Refractive Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
