Dr. Everett E. Heringer, DDS

Dr. Heringer is one of the few cosmetic dentists in the world who has more than 30 years’ experience performing smile makeovers and has received the Mastership Certification from the World Clinical Laser Institute. He was the first dentist in his area to offer Waterlase^® laser-assisted cosmetic care and has continued to be a pioneer in bringing high-tech, skilled dentistry to North Dakota.

Dr. Heringer is committed to staying on the leading edge of patient care through continuing education. Each year he travels across the country to further his knowledge and expertise in dental services, laser techniques and cosmetic smile makeovers. He has personally been trained by dentists such as Dr. Bill Dorfman, Dr. Frank Spears (Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Education), Dr. William Chen (World Laser Clinical Institute) and a host of other leaders in dentistry.

With the help of his experienced and highly trained team, Dr. Heringer has won numerous awards gaining him national recognition. As one example, his Laser Smiles^® have received several gold medal awards from the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Heringer has also lectured and presented his ideas, philosophies, and expertise to dentists from around the world at such meetings as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry annual session, the World Clinical Laser Institutes annual worldwide symposium, and other regional and local meetings.

Dr. Heringer is a Master of the World Clinical Laser Institute and an Associate Fellow of the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He also has memberships with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, World Clinical Laser Institute, Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Endodontic Society, American Dental Association and various other organizations. In addition he has been chosen to be part of the daVinci Extreme Dental Team and was featured in the Bismarck Tribune for his pioneering work in bringing laser dentistry to North Dakota.

Dr. Heringer is committed to using the latest technology in order to assure the best results with the least discomfort for his patients. In order to achieve this goal, he uses the Waterlase^® MD Laser and the EZLase^® Diode Hygiene Laser to provide the most comfortable, anxiety-free experience possible. His skill with lasers reduces the need for anesthesia and the traditional drill during hard and soft tissue dental applications. In addition to the Waterlase^® laser, his office now offers environmentally friendly digital x-rays that greatly reduce radiation exposure.

Dr. Heringer is adept at performing a wide array of dental procedures including porcelain veneers, all porcelain cosmetic crowns, restorative orthodontics, dental implant services, and in-office 45-minute whitening using the Zoom! Advanced Power Plus procedure. While being treated, patients can expect to have the conveniences of home be a part of their visit. For children, Dr. Heringer has installed an Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii for their entertainment before and after procedures. During all treatment he offers down-filled blankets, radio, television, Maui lip balm, a warm towel wipe and more in order to ensure patient comfort. His team is committed to providing a safe and rewarding experience that leaves patients completely satisfied with their care and results.

Dr. Heringer understands the importance of, and is committed to, patient education. This commitment can be seen in his staff’s dedication to educating patients on procedures and possibilities for future smile improvements. Before and after any procedure, patients are encouraged to ask questions about what is being done and why. In addition, all patients are encouraged to receive a custom smile consultation that allows Dr. Heringer to learn about patient desires and build a custom plan of how to best achieve those results.

Everett E. Heringer graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1973. After graduating, he served his country as a Navy dentist with the 1st Marines at Camp Pendleton, California. In 1975, Dr. Heringer moved back home to North Dakota and started his private practice.

Dr. Heringer has four children, three grandchildren (with more on the way!), and a loving wife. His eldest son, Dustin, is currently an ocular-plastic surgical resident in Arizona. His second oldest son, Joseph, is a lawyer who works for American Bank Centers in Bismarck as a Trust Officer. His daughter Shauuna is a stay-at-home mother, and his youngest son, Seth, is currently studying at Duke University Divinity School in pursuit of a Masters of divinity degree.

In his free time Dr. Heringer enjoys seeing new places with his family. He has traveled to such destinations as Europe and the Caribbean and has made it a family goal to visit most major league baseball parks. He enjoys riding his motorcycle with his wife and family to such places as Utah, Montana, South Dakota, Colorado, Canada, and the Swiss Alps. On these trips he appreciates the greatness and beauty of God’s creation and enjoys stopping in at local establishments to get a flavor of different communities. Another hobby of his is restoring his childhood Doodlebug scooter – the same scooter he rode around Anamoose, North Dakota as a boy.
