Vu T. Nguyen, MD, completed his general and plastic surgery residency, in addition to a two-year research fellowship, at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He then completed a clinical fellowship in breast and aesthetic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in microsurgical breast reconstruction, general adult reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Nguyen has been appointed Section Chief of Plastic Surgery at the VA-Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Associate Program Director of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program and Director of Medical Student Education. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, with appointments at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, the VA-Pittsburgh Health Care System, UPMC Presbyterian and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
